Can you believe your eyes? The late Roy Orbison, who died 30 years ago, is brought to life in this video, exclusively debuted by Yahoo Entertainment.

While it may look exactly like the real Orbison performing, it is, of course, not the entertainer in the flesh. It is a strikingly realistic hologram created by BASE Entertainment, the live-entertainment company that specializes in renowned Las Vegas productions, and its new BASE Hologram venture.

BASE Hologram fuses advanced holographic digital and laser technology with live theatrical stagecraft to create worldwide concert tours and transformative entertainment experiences. The business launched with tours of Orbison and the late opera singer Maria Callas; the Orbison tour was created in collaboration with Orbison’s estate — which is managed by the late singer’s sons — and will show fans both old and new the magic of his musical talent backed by local symphony orchestras.

The tour is titled “In Dreams” and will start in the United Kingdom in April. It will reach North America in the fall. If you would like to see when this mystifying and touching production is coming to your town, check here.
